Chelsea means business...

Rebecca Ford, Business Action on Homelessness
On Tuesday 18th May, senior business leaders from companies Barclays, Baxter Storey, Carillion, ISS, Kantar Operations, Lantra MITIE and Royal Parks were treated to a special preview of the garden. Led by Barclays’ Group Chief Executive and Chair of Business Action on Homelessness, John Varley, the purpose of the visit was to provide an opportunity for delegates to discuss how their companies could provide practical support through work placements and job opportunities to the homeless people involved in the garden.
They also talked about how business expertise might be targeted to help homeless agencies get more people into employment. Delegates met with service users and staff from Chapter One, CREATE, Grounded, Herefordshire SHYPP, Look Ahead Housing and Care and Nurture, who helped to show them round the garden and explain how the whole project had been pulled together.
